FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
This page is designed to answer some of the more commonly asked questions related to the Vasyli Workshops.

DO YOU HAVE TO DO LEVEL 1 BEFORE LEVEL 2?

Essentially, yes. The courses are designed to follow on from one to the other. Level 2 covers the forefoot, it's mechanics and function. The practical session covers forefoot evaluation and the relationship between the rearfoot and forefoot. There is no heat moulding session in the Level 2 practical. However, if you are looking for a refresher on the forefoot then this can be taken as a "stand alone  course".

ARE THERE ANY PRE-REQUISITES NECESSARY IN BIOMECHANICS TO UNDERSTAND THE LEVEL 1 COURSE CONTENT?

In a nutshell, NO!

Our Level 1 course is designed as an introductory path to Biomechanics of the lower limb. The level 1 seminar concentrates primarily on the rear foot. It explains it's function, planes of motion, ranges of motion and how dysfunction of the rear foot (essentially the subtalar joint) links into many common conditions. Our lecturers will take time to explain basic theory and terminology and are happy to answer any questions you may  have.

The practical session spans the whole afternoon and gives the opportunity for "hands on". This session includes: Evaluation of subtalar joint neutral, heat moulding and fitting of the Vasyli Custom orthotics, taping session which simulates the action of a foot  orthosis.

ARE THE COURSES OPEN TO ALL DISCIPLINES?

YES! We welcome practitioners from all disciplines. All we ask is you have an interest in learning more about lower limb biomechanics! Our lecturers always try to encorporate, as much as practically possible, the way that different disciplines look at, evaluate and treat lower limb biomechanical dysfunction.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL MY REGISTRATION ?

Should this situation arise we will do all we can to relocate your registration to an alternative venue/date. If this is not possible then a full refund is given in most instances. Late cancellations can however attract an administration fee equal to 50% of the full course fee. Unfortunately, we are liable for this cost under the contractual obligations of the  venues.

HOW SOON SHOULD I BOOK MY PLACE?

The simple answer is, as soon as possible. Many of our popular venues have been known to fill in a couple of weeks. We do have finite numbers for the courses to ensure that there is a good level of interaction with all delegates from the speaker. This is especially important during the practical sessions.

In addition, venues require confirmations of numbers well in advance of the actual date. If you are interested but do have to look at a late registration for some reason, please speak with us as soon as possible. We will do everything we can to assist.

Our advice is to book early to avoid disappointment. Click on the Application Form link on the right to download a printable  copy.
