Adrenaline (epinephrine) 1:1000 Injection is a sterile, clear, colourless solution containing 1 mg of adrenaline per 1 ml ampoule. It is supplied in a pack of 10 single-use 1 ml ampoules and is intended for emergency use by trained healthcare professionals.

Indications

Adrenaline 1:1000 Injection is used for the emergency treatment of:

Anaphylaxis (severe allergic reactions)
Acute hypersensitivity reactions
Anaphylactic shock and other life-threatening allergic emergencies.

Administration

Usually administered by intramuscular (IM) injection, preferably into the anterolateral thigh.
Administration should be performed by trained healthcare professionals.
The 1:1000 strength is generally intended for IM use in anaphylaxis emergencies.
