Aesthesio monofilaments are a diagnostic tool which are used to evaluate sensation.
These monofilaments provide controlled gradients of force to the mechanoreceptors in the skin and can thus be used to determine pressure detection thresholds.
Aesthesio monofilaments provide a non-invasive evaluation of cutaneous sensation levels throughout the body with results that are objective and repeatable. They are suitable for testing of peripheral neuropathy.
Aesthesio Monofilaments are precision instruments. Care should be taken at all times to protect the integrity of the nylon filament.
The filament may be cleaned with a mild instrument disinfectant (e.g. Isopropyl Alcohol or similar. Avoid chlorine based disinfectants). Make sure the monofilaments are thoroughly dry before reusing.

Free Mainland UK delivery for website orders over £75.00 ex VAT (excluding chairs, couches, units and large autoclaves).
For website orders under £75.00 ex VAT the following delivery rate applies:
- Mainland UK £5.95 ex VAT.
For non-Mainland UK, the following delivery rates apply (figures in brackets relate to orders over £75 ex VAT):
- Northern Ireland £15.00 ex VAT (£10.00 ex VAT).
- Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles £17.50 ex VAT (£12.50 ex VAT).
- Scottish Islands, Scottish Highlands £17.50 ex VAT (£12.50 ex VAT).
